The dosage method of these 4 drugs does not raise concerns, the drugs can be combined in this way. As for the drug Sympramol, it is a drug containing opipramol, a substance belonging to the so-called tricyclic antidepressants. We never discontinue this group of drugs overnight. I understand that the attending physician has recommended a gradual discontinuation of this drug, with a view to prescribing Parogen. There may be an interaction between Parogen and Sympramol, leading to an increase in their effect. In an extreme case, the so-called serotonin syndrome may develop, usually manifested by high fever, acceleration of heart rate, increase in blood pressure, increased sweating. These symptoms are the basis for immediate contact with a doctor. With the above considerations in mind, we usually do not use such a combination of drugs. I recommend that you contact your doctor, who will decide in which regimen you should stop taking Sympramol.
