It depends on what symptoms of a cold occur. Complex over-the-counter preparations have more side effects and interactions, and perhaps they are used unnecessarily (e.g. in a complex preparation there is pseudoephedrine, which has a clearing effect on the sinuses, and the patient has only fever and cough, or in another there is an ingredient with antitussive effect, and the patient does not have a cough), so I recommend one-component preparations in combination with other one-component preparations, e.g. nasal spray, if there is a runny nose, paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin for fever and pain, throat lozenges - depending on the ailment. Due to the possible side effects of opipramol on the heart, it is better to avoid drugs containing pseudoephedrine and phenlephrine (they are not strictly contraindicated). Complex products without the above-mentioned ingredients include, m.in, fervex drugs, Scorbolamide. Herbal preparations without drug status are also available, e.g. Grinovita, Verbascon. It all depends on individual needs. I recommend the entry: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/przeziebienie and video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oFM731GAMG4
