Good morning, the doctor prescribed me Dostinex for elevated prolactin and hair loss. Already after taking the first tablet I noticed a very strong prolapse, but it was suggested to me that the state of prolactin must equalize. I took a total of 5 doses, but my hair flies dramatically. I took the last dose 2.5 weeks ago and unfortunately there is no improvement. How much longer can I struggle with hair loss? The amounts I was losing before taking the drug were none compared to what was happening now.

If hair loss does not decrease significantly one month after the end of the dostinex treatment, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. Hair loss, alopecia is one of the side effects of the drug Dostinex. The intensity and duration of hair loss is related to the length of the therapy used, as well as the recommended dose of the drug. The half-life of the drug is very long. In patients with hyperprolactinemia, Dostinex persists in the body for up to 24 days. During this time, there may be side effects of the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/24511/dostinex-tabletki/apteki I also encourage you to report the occurrence of a side effect of the drug.
