Transtec is a medicine that contains buprenorphine belonging to opioids. Opioids can cause an increase in cerebrospinal fluid pressure, which can lead to seizures. Therefore, caution should be exercised when administering opioids to patients after head injuries, with intracranial lesions, and in other cases where cerebrospinal fluid pressure may be elevated, or if epileptic seizures have occurred in the past. Transtec is a prescription-only medicine, if your doctor has been informed of epilepsy, you should follow the instructions for use given by him. As I mentioned earlier, the use of the patch should be done with extreme caution and under the supervision of a doctor, especially in the case of epileptic seizures in the patient.
