In this case, it is worth going to the doctor and performing tests that can help answer the question whether it is the fault of the drug or maybe there are some abnormalities in the results. In addition, it is also important whether you have symptoms of hypoglycemia (rapid heartbeat, trembling hands, cold sweats, dizziness) and whether you measure your sugar level correctly. If you do not have symptoms of hypoglycemia, and you use a finger disinfectant and do not wait for it to dry - this may be the cause of a low, distorted result. Besides, there can be plenty of reasons.

Yes, medications like Polpril (containing ramipril) can cause greater drops in blood sugar when we use diabetes medications or insulin. The maximum concentration of the drug in the blood appears after about 2-4 hours after taking the drug. During this time, it is worth monitoring the sugar level more often with a glucometer and in the event of a result around 70 mg / dL or lower, consume 15g of simple sugar (glucose in gel, 3/4 juice in a carton) and at 15 minutes measure the sugar level again. If there is no effect - re-consume 15 g of glucose. Glucose in the gel can be purchased at a pharmacy, e.g.: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/99103/symdiab-glukoza-plyn/apteki?pvid=247191#internetowe If you have type 1 diabetes, I remind you to have glucagon by injection (a life-saving drug in case of severe hypoglycemia).
