Bleeding after 4 months of taking Limetic? Is this normal?

Good morning, I use limetic from 4 places (1 week 4 blisters) is my first contraception. Unfortunately, from the beginning of 3 blister I still have spotting. I went to a gynecologist who said that this could be the cause of high prolactin and prescribed me dostinex. However, after reading the side effects, I am afraid to take it. Can such spotting disappear on its own? And is contraception preserved?

In this case, only a doctor can decide to use another, alternative method of treatment. High levels of prolactin are unfortunately treated with medications.

Bleeding/spotting may occur while taking Limetic. However, the use of tablets should continue as before. Such bleeding is normal, especially during the first quarter of taking pills, and should not be a cause for concern. They are associated with the adaptation of the body to the dose of hormones administered to it and over time they pass. This does not mean that the tablets are poorly chosen and are most often a normal reaction of the body. Irregular bleeding is not a symptom of a decrease in the contraceptive effectiveness of the drug. In general, there is no need to take any additional protective measures. However, if the bleeding is severe or prolonged, you should consult a doctor. More about Limetic: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/43683/limetic-tabletki-powlekane/apteki If you are afraid to use Dostinex (recommended by your doctor), I encourage you to do laboratory tests of the hormone "PROLACTIN" and verify whether any bleeding is caused by too much of this hormone. Then you will know if it makes sense to use this drug.
