Can Klabax cause a reduction in leg swelling?

Can klabax cause a reduction in leg swelling? My mother was prescribed klabax for a fairly deep wound on her calf. We noticed that during this time the swelling of the legs decreased significantly. Does it have anything to do with it? I will add that my mother suffers from ra (takes metypred and metex, with these drugs swelling persists) and diabetes (insulin addiction)

Klabax is an antibiotic - it contains clarithromycin, which inhibits the growth of bacteria. One of the indications is the treatment of skin and soft tissue infection (e.g. cellulitis, abscesses). The drug itself does not have anti-edematous properties. However, if the swelling was due to the infection and the inflammation that accompanies it, then it is possible that the observed improvement is related to its use. I suggest you talk about your observations with the doctor who has the most complete information about your mother's health - perhaps together we can draw more unequivocal conclusions. I would suggest taking pictures of mom's legs now that you see an improvement to have some kind of reference point.
