I finally got this 'replacement' for Alfadiol and ... This is another mess that the Polish government has prepared for us. Alfadiol was a Polish drug, produced in Sieradz and cost 10.44 zł / 100 kap. on Rp. and what do we have now??? We have German shit for almost 70.00 zł / 100 capsules??? What are we to do? Poland is still being destroyed and sick people are to die out faster than could happen...

As our statistics show, the drug Decostriol is slowly appearing in pharmacies. This medicine contains calcitriol, a substance to which alfacalcidol (the active substance in Alphadiol) is converted in the liver. Thus, it cannot be treated as a strict replacement for Alfadiol. Before changing the method of treatment, it will be necessary to consult a doctor and a new prescription. However, this drug has a very similar effect (practically identical) and indications for use as Alfadiol and can be used in a situation where Alfadiol is not available. Decostriol is available in doses of 0.25 mcg and 0.5 mcg: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/117892/decostriol-kapsulki/apteki

Due to the lack of access to Alfadiol, the Minister of Health gave permission to import a substitute for this drug as part of intervention imports. The drug is listed under the trade name Alpha D3 and already appears in pharmacies in Poland: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/117887/alpha-d3-kapsulki/apteki

Currently, the drug is already very difficult to find in pharmacies: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/3306/alfadiol-kapsulki/apteki?pvid=65468 GSK we received information that Alfadiol has been removed from the manufacturer's portfolio and will no longer be available in pharmacies. Currently, the preparation does not have available substitutes, so in case of problems with the implementation of the prescription, you should consult a doctor to change the method of treatment.
