The drug is absorbed quite quickly and drowsiness may be felt after about 30 minutes after taking the tablet, but it is not a drug with a typical "hypnotic" effect like benzodiazepines or barbiturates. In the event that other drugs are taken in addition, the effect may be increased or decreased, so the answer is not unambiguous. The full antidepressant effect is observed after 2-4 weeks from the start of treatment.
