Hello, I take orlifique birth control pills at 9 am. Today at about 12 o'clock at noon I had to use the toilet and gave a disposable loose stool, at the end it was slightly watery. It's been 3 hours since you took the pill. Should I take another pill for a loose bowel movement? I took the tablet at 9 without eating.

To @ Joanna: The occurrence of diarrhea is defined as at least 3 stools with an excessively loose consistency. This means that you would have to donate at least 3 loose stools within 3-4 hours of taking Orlifique. One-time passing of loose stool does not affect the effectiveness of the preparation used.
Thank you very much for your reply. So I would have to be in the toilet at least a few times during these 4 hours after admission? During these 4 hours I was only once then these next times were at a safe interval.

For @Joanna: A tablet in the morning will also work. Protection could be reduced if diarrhea occurs within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet. One loose stool after more than 4 hours after taking the tablet and two more after about 8 hours do not affect its effectiveness. Protection is preserved.
Thank you for your reply. Today, however, I took the pill at 9.20 a.m., at 1.40 p.m. I had a loose bowel movement. Then at 5 p.m. I was in the toilet and it was already 2 times water bowel movements. Did the pill in the morning today have sunk?

No - a disposable loose stool is not an indication for taking the next dose of the drug. Only diarrhea, i.e. several times defecation within 3-4 hours from the moment of taking the tablet is a prerequisite for taking the next tablet. There is no reason to worry in the case you described.
