The likelihood of a clinically relevant interaction here is low. Cartexan contains chondroitin sulfate, a substance used to treat osteoarthritis of the knee or hip joint. Acard, on the other hand, is a so-called "cardiological" dose of acetylsalicylic acid, which reduces platelet aggregation. Chondroitin may exert an anticoagulant effect, thereby enhancing the effect of Acard. However, the risk of this interaction is low. For safety, I recommend checking whether bleeding and bruising occur more often, because such symptoms are a prerequisite for discontinuation of the drug and consultation with the attending physician. Chondroitin is eliminated from our body by the kidneys, however, bladder disorders are not a contraindication to the use of the drug. Very rarely, i.e. less than once in 10,000 cases, taking chondroitin sulfate can lead to fluid retention in the body, which is due to the osmotic properties of this substance. If swelling occurs during use, please contact your doctor and consider discontinuing the drug. For my part, I would like to add that due to the use of Acard, I recommend dosing Cartexan after eating.
