Good morning, I take eight days antibiotic Levalox 500 mg, twice a day, for HP, and Ospamox, there is a toilet in the soles of the alloy, could it be a side effect of these antibiotics? And should I wean any of them? And after these antibiotics it is not dangerous to do work that requires many hours of "being on your feet" . I read the Levalox leaflet and I'm afraid that it may lead to some serious problems with leg paths, etc.

The described side effect may be caused by the use of Levalox. It is worth contacting your doctor, who will decide whether to continue using this medicine. When using these preparations, there are no contraindications to perform standing work. Levalox contains levofloxacin, which belongs to the group of so-called fluoroquinolones. Oral use of these drugs (especially levofloxacin and ofloxacin) is associated with the risk of inflammation or tendon rupture (most often this applies to the Achilles tendon, but may also apply to other tendons). Based on the conducted studies, it was found that the risk of tendonitis is higher in people over 60 years of age who are not obese and who use oral glucocorticosteroids. Statistically, the side effect described is more common in women than in men. Importantly, Achilles tendon disorders are characterized by swelling, tenderness and swelling, and are often accompanied by sharp pain when walking, which is why in the described case we are most likely dealing with the so-called paresthesia, i.e. a feeling of tingling, numbness, vibration, pricking.
