While taking Doxepin and Cital, you should not drink alcohol. Alcohol and doxepine intensify each other's action and cause excessive drowsiness, speech disorders, weakening of concentration, dexterity and motor coordination. Although there was no interaction between Cital and alcohol, alcohol consumption while taking citalopram is not recommended.
