Up to @Kathi: Lamotrigine (the active ingredient in Symla) may interfere with the contraceptive pill to work. In addition, birth control pills may negatively affect the concentration of lamotrigine in the blood, so I would suggest consulting your doctor to determine the further course of action (dose changes/changes in medications).
