Can I donate blood while taking Mysimba?

Good morning. Can I donate blood while taking Mysimba? Does it affect blood components in any way? I did not find the drug in the information about drugs during which you can not donate blood. Best regards

Whether your blood will be accepted is decided by the person who qualifies the blood donors before it is collected. An important rule is to inform the doctor about all medications and dietary supplements taken - he makes the decision to allow (or not) to donate blood. Following a single oral administration of naltrexone / bupropion tablets to healthy volunteers, the mean half-term of elimination of T1/2 naltrexone was approximately 5 hours and bupropion approximately 21 hours. This means that a few days after the last tablet, the drug is in the body, so not only during its use we may not be qualified as a blood donor, but also after a few days from the end of treatment. Information provided by the National Blood Donation Center: "For the entire period of use of medicines (other than vitamins, oral contraceptives and hormonal drugs used during menopause) and for some time after stopping taking them, blood should not be donated. It is very possible that the use of Mysimba may exclude you. However, the final decision is made by the qualifier.
