Endoxan is a drug that includes cyclophosphamide. It is an anti-cancer substance with a long history of use in many cancers, e.g. ovarian cancer, breast cancer, small cell lung cancer and others. The drug has toxic activity against cancer cells, but the way it works causes that normal cells, which build healthy tissues of the human body, can also be damaged. Therefore, the patient using the drug can expect side effects. Among them, the most common are: - nausea, vomiting, inflammation of the mucous membranes and abdominal pain, - cystitis, hematuria, - inhibition of the production by the bone marrow of cells that are part of the blood, this results in the occurrence in patients, e.g. anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia - so during therapy very frequent haematological tests are recommended. Unfortunately, it is very likely that when taking Endoxan you will feel the side effects of endoxan. However, it is worth trying to overcome fear and undertake treatment due to the fact that an untreated cancer is a much greater risk for you than the side effects that today's medicine is able to predict and mitigate. Our editorial team has prepared a guide on how to prepare for chemotherapy, which I encourage you to read: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-przygotowac-sie-do-chemioterapii I also attach an article explaining what chemotherapy is and what other possibilities an oncological patient in Poland has: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/przewodnik-po-terapiach-przeciwnowotworowych
