If the Depo-Provera injection works if it was not given during menstruation?
Hello, for the first time in my life I received a contraceptive injection of Depoprover. It was given not during menstruation. Does it work?

The use of contraceptive injections can be started on any day of the cycle, as long as the woman is not pregnant. It is best to do this within the first 5 days of the start of menstruation - protection against pregnancy is then immediate. Otherwise, an additional mechanical method of contraception (e.g. a condom) should be used for the first 7 days.
