Atoris belongs to the group of statins. These drugs, as a rule, should not be discontinued abruptly. Discontinuation of the drug will cause a rapid increase in the level of abnormal cholesterol, to the level that the patient had to deal with before he started taking the drug. For some, he will order another preparation with a similar effect – e.g. fenofibrate or nicotinic acid. Statins have no substitutes. If you feel side effects or interactions, it is worth talking to your doctor about it.
