Does the IUB Ballerine copper IUD provide contraceptive protection?

Good morning I have had i do i have iDUB ballerine copper insert on for a month, how is it with intercourse? Is it necessary to use an additional condom? Should you avoid sex on fertile days? Am I really secured? I will add that the insole is put on correctly, the doctor's visit confirmed it.

To @mariola: Then ask your gynecologist about it. Current monitoring data for the Ballerine IUB indicate at least 99% effectiveness. It is worth noting here that no method of contraception gives 100% protection and always sexual intercourse is associated with the risk of getting pregnant. The final decision to use an additional method of contraception is at your discretion.

According to the information provided by the manufacturer, the IUB Ballerine IUD provides contraceptive protection by gradually releasing copper, which impairs sperm motility, prevents egg fertilization and embryo implantation. According to the manufacturer's data, the IUD provides 99% protection against pregnancy for up to 5 years from insertion, so it does not require the use of additional contraceptive methods. More information about the operation of the IUB Ballerine insert can be read on the product page, which I link to below: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/102362/iub-ballerine-midi-wkladka-wewnatrzmaciczna-scu300b-miedziana-antykoncepcyjna-inn/apteki
