To @Daga:
According to current medical literature, no adverse effects of combined selenium supplementation with zinc have been demonstrated.

Studies conducted on humans evaluating the effects of combined supplements (including those containing selenium and zinc) have shown that six-month supplementation resulted in an increase in both levels of elements in the blood, as well as improved resistance to upper respiratory tract infections. The subjects did not experience side effects, and the two-year follow-up after supplementation showed no increased mortality in either group (F. Girodon et al. Impact of trace elements and vitamin supplementation on immunity and infections in institutionalized elderly patients: a randomized controlled trial. MIN. VIT. AOX. geriatric network, https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10218756/).

Combined supplementation of zinc with selenium can be beneficial for many groups of people, m.in. vegetarians, the elderly, people with known deficiency, malnourished people, etc. Also in nature, many products that are a rich source of zinc are at the same time a rich source of selenium, e.g. eggs, nuts, liver, fish, buckwheat.

I've heard that selenium and zinc are antagonists and should not be taken together because it reduces their bioavailability. Pharmacists should know this...

According to current medical literature, there should be no adverse interactions between these preparations that are harmful to health or the effects of drugs. You do not therefore have to keep a time interval. I suggest, however, to consult a family doctor or dietitian whether the use of all these preparations is justified by nutritional deficiencies, which may result, m.in, from the diet or diseases that impair the absorption of nutrients. The gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a dietitian: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja More about whether you need to supplement vitamins and minerals can be read in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-trzeba-suplementowac-witaminy-i-mineraly

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
