The maximum dose of hydroxyzine that can be used to calm down and achieve a hypnotic effect is 100 mg. Do not exceed this dose and use caution when used with other sedatives and medicines for hypertension. If you experience excessive dullness, calmness or symptoms of excessive drop in blood pressure (dizziness, scotoma in front of the eyes), tell your doctor.
