What are the equivalents of Atenolol Sanofi? Can I import it as part of the target import?

What are the equivalents of etanalol? Is it possible to import targets from other continents or has Sanofi stopped production all over the world? thank you Janek

The Minister of Health gave permission to import a substitute for the drug Atenolol as part of the intervention import procedure. The drug is available under the trade name Atenolol Sopharma: Atenolol Sopharma 25 mg, 30 tablets: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/117736/atenolol-sopharma-tabletki-powlekane/apteki?pvid=275648 Atenolol Sopharma 50 mg, 30 tablets: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/117736/atenolol-sopharma-tabletki-powlekane/apteki?pvid=275649 Patients who have a prescription for Sanofi Atenolol will be able to buy an imported substitute at the pharmacy on its basis.

I guess you mean atenolol. If so, please read on. Currently, the only drug containing atenolol on the Polish market was Atenolol Sanofi, there are no substitutes for this drug. There are no plans to return to production of the drug, so most patients will need to change their treatment. I have no information about the possibility of importing as part of the target import. This procedure is described in detail here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/import-docelowy-jak-sprowadzic-lek-z-zagranicy It may be comforting that atenolol belongs to an extensive group of selective beta-blockers, the so-called beta-blockers. They are commonly used in arrhythmias, hypertension, coronary heart disease and many others, so it is possible to change the treatment to equally effective. Consultation with a cardiologist in this situation is necessary, since the change of treatment will include the replacement of the active substance. The doctor will decide on its selection based on the general state of health and your contraindications. I would like to add that such an online consultation can be obtained with the help of the GdziePoLek portal. I attach the link: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
