Which of the drugs for hypertension do not cause erectile dysfunction?

Hello. I am treated for hypertension, I take Ebivol 5mg, half a tablet a day. Are there drugs that have fewer side effects? Mainly it is about erectile dysfunction.

The choice of the best drug for a given patient depends on factors such as general health, age, taking other medications and whether there are contraindications to the use of a particular preparation. What side effects can occur and with what frequency is determined with statistical probability. Side effects can occur with varying frequency and severity in different patients. In order to choose the best drug, the doctor takes into account the above-mentioned active and observations of the patient during treatment with the selected preparation. Examples of drugs in which erectile dysfunction occurs less frequently are: Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors e.g. Benzelapril, Lisinopril Calcium channel inhibitors e.g. Amlodipine, Verapamil Alpha-adrenergic receptor inhibitors e.g. Doxazosin Angiotensin receptor inhibitors e.g. Losartan Drugs that are generally well tolerated by patients treated for hypertension include angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors. Often they are the drugs of first choice.

Good morning. Can I ask you to list drugs with fewer side effects? Knowing the specific medications, it will be easier for me to talk to a doctor.

Ebivol is a drug used to treat hypertension belonging to a group of drugs that block beta-adrenergic receptors. According to current medical knowledge, the groups of drugs that are less likely to cause erectile dysfunction include: angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, alpha-blockers and angiotensin II receptor blockers. Due to the fact that each drug can cause different side effects, and the listed groups of drugs are prescription drugs, side effects should be reported to the doctor and with him verify the change in the antihypertensive agents used. User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
