Hello. I have been taking desmoxan for 5 days. From now on, he should no longer smoke, but unfortunately the craving for nicotine is very strong for me. Probably because I smoked two packs a day. I have the impression that this drug does not help me at all, I am losing my mind and I know that I will not last so long and I will be inflamed. I do not know what to do in such a situation. I would love to quit smoking. Is it possible to take anything extra in addition to desmoxan? Something to calm this nicotine craving?

Indeed, a person who smokes tobacco should completely give up smoking at the latest on the 5th day after the start of taking Desmoxan. After this time, you can no longer smoke - not a single cigarette. Continuing to smoke and taking the medicine may result in side effects. If you have a lot of motivation to quit smoking, it may be worth persevering in the resolution - the support of your loved ones can be helpful. However, if you believe that the drug does not work and the result of the therapy is unsatisfactory, then - according to the documentation of the drug - the therapy should be discontinued. It is worth noting that drugs such as Tabex or Recigar contain cytisine, which is the same active ingredient as Desmoxan. Therefore, you can not take them "additionally", just like nicotine replacement therapy products (they contain nicotine, the action of which cytisine somehow "mimics"). Cytisine treatment can be restarted after 2 to 3 months. Perhaps during this time it is worth working on limiting the amount of cigarettes smoked (then you can already support nicotine replacement therapy). You can also see a doctor because there are pharmacological options available on prescription.
