Can a person over 60 who regularly useS Zofenil and Betaloc take CBD oil?

Hello. I have a question about a person over 60 who regularly takes Zofenil and Betaloc, mainly due to hypertension. Is it possible to take CBD oil by taking these medications? I would like to try on this person the sedative effect of CBD because stress and nervousness badly affects the state of their health but I can not find information whether it is safe to combine CBD with the mentioned drugs. Isn't there some interaction? Thank you in advance for the information.

According to current medical literature, CBD oil should not be combined with these drugs. This is because CBD is broken down like many other drugs by CYP450 liver enzymes. As a result, it may cause a slower decomposition of the drugs mentioned in the question, which in turn intensifies their side effects. If you think that the use of a specific dietary supplement is necessary for you, I encourage you to consult your doctor. Perhaps he will decide to modify the current treatment regimen. The use of any preparation, including the one available without a prescription, you should consult with the attending physician.
