Can spotting occur when using Evra patches outside the 7-day break?

I have been sticking EVRA patches for 5 weeks. My gynecologist said that if I do not want to have menstruation, it is enough that I will not take a break in sticking the patch. So every week I change the patches, regularly according to the leaflet. I have been bleeding for 1.5 weeks,I have never had so long menstruation. Can the bleeding be so long when using the patches or consult a gynecologist?

If you are just starting to use Evra patches, it may happen that you will experience irregular bleeding and spotting (outside the 7-day break). In addition, the combination of two packages of the drug increases the risk of irregular bleeding. Only when the bleeding is very bothersome or intense and long-lasting, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist. For the first few months of using Evra (usually 3-6 packs), there is a so-called adaptation period to the use of the contraceptive drug. There may be prolonged bleeding or more or less intense than usual. It is not recommended to use more than 6 patches in a row. After a maximum of this time, you should take a 7-day break: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/28646/evra-system-transdermalny/ulotka/107008 I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/plastry-antykoncepcyjne
