Why should blisters on the feet not be pierced?

Hello, a bladder formed on the sole of my foot in connection with the long wearing of new footwear 2 days ago. It was filled with lymph, I bought patches for blisters and glued it. However, today, after a short walk, I noticed that in the bladder, in addition to lymph, blood accumulated. Is this a cause for concern? I know that the bladder with lymph should not be pierced, but what if there is also blood there? Is this a normal healing process? Thank you in advance for your reply.

In the event that, as a result of pressure, a rupture of a blood vessel occurs, blood can enter the serous fluid filling the bladder. In general, this is not a cause for concern. As you rightly pointed out, the bladder should not be pierced, this increases the risk of wound superinfection and prolongs the healing time. The fluid contained in the bladder should be absorbed spontaneously within a few days.
