Abdominal pain and malaise after taking the contraceptive pill - what to do?

The first time I started using contraception. The gynecologist prescribed me Hastina 24+4. Unfortunately, immediately after taking the first tablet (21:00) after about 3 hours I was awakened at night by severe abdominal pain. I got up, barely went to the bathroom, started sweating, became pale and wanted to faint. These symptoms did not subside until about 8 o'clock in the morning, but I had a headache all day. Is this normal or should I give up these pills?

Although the likelihood of side effects of hormonal contraception is highest in the first months of use, the symptoms described are not a common effect of contraceptive pills. It cannot be excluded that abdominal pain and other accompanying symptoms were not related to taking the contraceptive pill. If they occur again after taking another tablet, then in consultation with your doctor, you should consider changing the tablets or using another method of contraception.
