Good morning, I have a question about Drovelis tablets. They were prescribed to me by a gynecologist after informing me that I had migraines with aura. But on the flyer one amongst contraindications are just these migraines. Will it be safe to take the pills? Is there contraception that is safe in this respect? Thank you in advance for your reply!

Two-component contraceptive pills (such as Drovelis) contain an estrogenic component that can increase the frequency of migraine attacks, and in addition, in the case of migraine with aura, increases the risk of ischemic stroke. Single-ingredient pills do not contain estrogen, so they are a safer option for migraines, but using them does not completely exclude the risk of further migraine. Here you will find an article and a list of single-ingredient tablets available in pharmacies: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/tabletki-antykoncepcyjne-jednoskladnikowe If migraine attacks get worse while using Drovelis, it is best to consult your gynecologist and consider changing the tablets to one-component ones.
