Can menstruation occur while taking Duphaston? What to do in this case?
Witam.Dostalam Duphostan to induce menstruation and today I started taking. I have to take 2 times a day for 10 days. I forgot to ask the doctor if there is a period while taking the drug, should I continue to take it or stop it?

Menstruation should occur after you stop taking Duphaston (about 2 days after taking 10 tablets). Bleeding and spotting that occurs when taking tablets are usually side effects of the medicine, which should be reported to the doctor. In the course of such spotting, it is recommended to continue using the drug. Duphaston contains dydrogesterone. It is a synthetic hormone with an effect similar to natural progesterone. It is used to treat m.in infertility resulting from too low progesterone concentration.
