Can birth control pills affect vaginal burning?

Can birth control pills affect vaginal burning? After 2 months of taking vixpo I got vaginal mycosis which was treated but after treatment I still have symptoms of burning and pinching the vagina even though a week ago a vaginal swab was done and no bacteria or fungi were detected. Could it be the pill's fault that they work badly on me?

If the fungal infection is cured, then another cause of this symptom should be found. In my opinion, the burning sensation may also be caused by dryness of the vaginal mucous membranes and changes in pH, because the mucosa as a result of taking contraceptive pills and pharmacotherapy due to infection may require regeneration and restoration of the balance of the vaginal environment. In this case, for example, vaginal globules with hyaluronic acid and lactic acid can help. In this situation, it would be best to contact the attending gynecologist and inform him about the problems that occur. Perhaps he will order additional tests that will diagnose the cause or consider changing the pills.

Yes, side effects when taking Vixpo contraceptive pills may be m.in vaginal dryness and vaginitis. This may manifest itself in a burning sensation of the vagina. The use of oral contraceptives including Vixpo contraceptive pills may also increase the risk of developing fungal infections (candidiasis) of the intimate area, which can also cause vaginal burning. If no bacteria and fungi are detected, perhaps this symptom itself is caused by dryness of the mucous membranes of the vagina, which increases irritation during intercourse. In this case, you can use over-the-counter preparations that contain ingredients that moisturize and regenerate the mucosa.
