Will the flu-like symptoms, dizziness and headaches I feel after Trazodone 100 mg go away?

I take trazadone 100 mg per night from 14 days. I have slight headaches and dizziness and flu-like symptoms. Will they stop? Do you wait another 2 weeks and inform the doctor? I am 58 years old. Best regards!!

The use of trazodone may be associated with a wide spectrum of side effects. The most common symptoms according to the manufacturer of the drug are: drowsiness, excessive sedation, dizziness, dry mouth, disorders of the stomach and intestines, sleep disorders, headache and agitation. This does not mean, however, that only such side effects can occur in you. However, it is difficult for me to say whether the flu-like symptoms you mentioned are the result of the drug, because you have not indicated exactly what ailments you feel. If the use of the drug is associated with too much discomfort (e.g. you are unable to function after the drug), you should consult a doctor. I will also add that the proper effect of trazodone is most often achieved after about 2-4 weeks of therapy. If you do not get a satisfactory effect after this time, your doctor will decide to change your dose or stop your treatment. I encourage you to read the leaflet: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/99760/trazodone-neuraxpharm-tabletki/ulotka/ and articles on side effects: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
