Is it normal that with Tobrex ointment drugs I have pus from the eye?

Good morning, the ophthalmologist for an eye injury prescribed me tobrex ointment. Is it normal with this antibiotic that pus flies from the eye? It has been using since yesterday, which is the second day today.

Tobrex is an antibiotic that works on bacteria that can infect the eye. The natural secretion of the eye is tears, purulent discharge testifies to the presence of bacteria (which may have entered the eye as a result of injury). Tobrex ointment does not cause suppuration - it should prevent it.
