Please give your child the medicine as indicated by your doctor. Indeed, the drug Polpril in the indications of the manufacturer has a treatment for hypertension in adults. Please note, however, that many medicines do not have information in their leaflets about the approval for use in children due to the limited possibilities of their study in children. However, this does not mean that the drug will harm your child. Ramipril, the active ingredient of Polpril, is a substance with proven safety and effectiveness in children with hypertension. This is indicated by the scientific literature, however, the leaflet of the drug may not contain such information. The doctor, based on his knowledge, can prescribe the child a drug outside the indications from the leaflet - we then call this the use of "off-label". We explain this issue in detail in one of our articles, I encourage you to read it: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami
