No, you cannot split the Metformax XR tablet in half. These tablets have a special design that allows for a long, slow release of the drug. At the time of division of the tablet, the structure of the tablet would be destroyed, which would change the release of the drug and, as a result, interfere with the effectiveness of treatment.
