Isotretinoin in Axotret is sometimes used in cats. The usual daily dose in this case is 2 mg per kilogram of cat weight. Whether side effects occur depends on the cat's body weight and the dose of Axotret taken. For example, if a cat weighs 5 kg and the question concerns Axotret at a dose of 10 mg, the probability of dangerous consequences is small. The higher the dose per kilogram of body weight taken, the greater the likelihood of side effects/toxicity - this is what the veterinarian should comment on.
