There are some interactions between the drugs mentioned in the question. The combined use of these medicines may be therapeutically beneficial, and the patient should be closely monitored for blood pressure, renal function, fluid balance and potassium levels. Concomitant use of Telmisartan and Polpril is not recommended due to the very similar mechanism of action and the additive risk of hypotension, hyperkalaemia and renal dysfunction due to double inhibition of the renin-angiotensin system. Numerous studies and meta-analyses have shown an increase in the risk of hyperkalemia, hypotension and kidney damage with the parallel use of these drugs. Concomitant use is contraindicated in patients with diabetic nephropathy and / or moderate or severe renal failure. Due to the fact that Telmisartan and Polpril are prescription drugs, therefore the legitimacy and need for their use in therapy is assessed by the doctor. These drugs should be used very carefully under strict medical supervision.
