Good morning. I have a question: for 25 years I used contraception, now the doctor prescribed me Kliogest and I immediately stopped menstruating. Is this a normal symptom? I am 52 years old.

When using birth control pills, there is no typical menstruation, and withdrawal bleeding, caused by a break in taking hormones (taking placebo pills or a break between subsequent packs of the drug). Now you have been prescribed a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) drug that is used to treat symptoms caused by estrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women. In the use of this drug do not take breaks, so there is no bleeding.
