I have been taking citaxin for 4 weeks. This month I did not get menstruation, and I will add that so far I have had regular periods. Is it possible that citaxin has affected my amenorrhea? Could it be that I won't be a month at all when I take citaxin?

When using medicines with citalopram (the active ingredient in Citaxin), side effects such as irregular menstrual bleeding, intermenstrual spotting or menstrual haemorrhage have been described. Complete amenorrhea has not been described So it cannot be excluded that the absence of bleeding on time is related to the drug taken, but may also have other causes. If you are a sexually active person, then amenorrhea should prompt you to take a pregnancy test. No bleeding within 7-14 days from the expected date is also an indication to see a doctor and check if there are any gynecological reasons for amenorrhea.
