Good morning. My mom (81 years old) takes Polsart 40mg in the morning and avedol in the morning and evening. However, after having Asymptomatic Covid, the pressure is very often high. Currently, the doctor prescribed Polsart 80 mg + 125mg (in the morning) and ordered to discontinue avedol. The pressure is still quite high and hence the question: is it possible to combine Polsart plus with avedol emotions?

According to current medical literature, there should be no adverse interactions between these preparations that are harmful to health or the effects of drugs. Please remember, however, that any modifications in the treatment of hypertension should be made after consultation with the attending physician familiar with the current clinical condition of your mother. According to the latest guidelines of the Polish Society of Hypertension from 2019, in older people over 80 years of age, the recommended target blood pressure is below 150/80 mmHg. If the patient does not tolerate lower blood pressure well, you should not strive to lower the pressure too much.
