Meteospasmyl does not contain papaverine. It consists of alverine and simeticon. Alverine relaxes smooth muscles, relieves pain and improves the peristalsis of the digestive tract, while simetikon facilitates the removal of gas bubbles from the intestines, relieves flatulence and a feeling of fullness. Anaphylactic reactions and anaphylactic shock after taking this medicine have been observed very rarely (in less than 1 in 10,000 patients).
