According to the package leaflet, a 100mg tablet of trazodone contains a dividing line, and each half contains 50 mg of trazodone hydrochloride. However, there is no dividing line into quarters. It is not a mistake to divide the tablet, but a tablet cutter will be useful here. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, when discontinuing treatment with Trazodone, especially when used for a long time, it is recommended to gradually reduce the dose until complete discontinuation to minimise withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, headache and malaise. If in your case there are undesirable withdrawal symptoms, you can return to using the drug and take, for example, half every other day.
