I use 2 discs, and I am bothered from time to time by various depressive states or simply depressed mood, I would like to point out that I have not had such problems before. I read in the instructions that such side effects may occur. I wanted to ask myself how long such side effects can last and when you should stop using the discs. It is a pity for me to give up this contraception and I wonder if such states are temporary.

The greatest probability of side effects during the use of hormonal contraception, m.in contraceptive discs, occurs in the initial period of contraceptive use, most often it concerns the first 3 months. This period is called the adaptation period, during which the body adapts to hormonal changes occurring under the influence of the contraceptive method used. If the symptoms do not disappear after 3 months or their severity increases significantly (e.g. suicidal thoughts occur), the gynecologist should be consulted about the appropriateness of continuing to use this method of contraception.
