Good morning, I was prescribed the drugs Emane and Pylera. The doctor, however, did not say anything about any donkey drug. Should I also buy a protective drug when taking these two drugs, and if so, which one? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Drugs that have a protective effect during antibiotic therapy are probiotics. Pylera may disturb the bacterial flora within the digestive system because, in addition to eliminating H.pyroli bacteria, it also eliminates other bacteria. Probiotic preparations that can be used in Pyrela therapy may be, for example, Laccid forte having a strain of Lactobacillus rhamnosus bacteria or Lacidofil containing strains of Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus helveticus. Remember to keep about 2 hours of time between taking Pyrela and the probiotic. It is also worth mentioning that it is good practice to continue probiotic therapy for 2 weeks after stopping taking Pyrela. I enclose information about the availability of preparations in pharmacies, and useful information: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/42281/lakcid-forte-kapsulki/apteki#stacjonarne https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/42092/lacidofil-kapsulki/apteki#stacjonarne https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/probiotyki
