I kindly ask for a hint, whether drugs or supplements such as Rostil, Diohesam, which cause sealing of capillaries and at the same time dilation of venous vessels is better to use in winter or summer? Do I think well to use in the winter? Regards Irek

Rostil is a medicine that contains calcium dobesylate. The substance acts in the endothelium of the capillary wall, the walls of the veins and in the lymphatic vessels. Under its influence, the vessels are less permeable and more durable, microcirculation is improved. The effect is to reduce swelling and disappear symptoms such as swelling, "heaviness" or pain in the limbs. The drug is indicated for varicose veins, tingling, cramps and other symptoms of stagnation of blood in the veins. Diohespan, Diohespan Forte, Diohespan Max (I think it's about them because it doesn't find the preparation "Diohesam") are products with diosmin. Diosmin increases venous tension and has a protective effect on the vessels. In venous vessels, it reduces dilation and venous stasis. Improves the action of microcirculation. Indications for use are quite similar. The above preparations "increase the tension of the walls of the veins", but I have no information that they "expand" them. The above products can be used when there is such a need - there are no indications to use them only seasonally or to have a better effect in winter. In my opinion, it may be the opposite - in the summer, in the heat, ailments such as varicose veins or swelling of the legs worsen.
