Does Monural have a bad effect on the heart?

Hello. Does Monural have a bad effect on the heart? If a patient of 84 years of age has persistent atrial fibrillation, is it a contraindication to the use of this antibiotic?

The drug Monural does not have a characteristically negative effect on the heart. Rarely, less than 1 in 1000 people may develop tachycardia (accelerated heart function), but statistically in 999 people such a side effect will not occur. Atrial fibrillation is not an absolute contraindication to the use of Monural. Monural should not be used if you are allergic to the active substance or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine, in patients with severe renal impairment and in patients undergoing haemodialysis.
