Does Ulgix laxi have a laxative effect and can it be combined with lactulose?

Hello. Does Ulgix laxi have a laxative effect? If a patient of 83 years of age is using lactulose, can this medicine be additionally included?

Ulgix laxi is not a typical laxative, it can be safely used in an 83-year-old person. Ulgix laxi changes the consistency of the stool and facilitates bowel movements, does not stimulate intestinal peristalsis. Lactulose stimulates intestinal peristalsis - therefore, in combination with Ulgix laxi, it can act more strongly - facilitating bowel movements and preventing constipation.
