Does Lipiforma lower triglyceride levels?

Studies show that monacolin K can reduce the level of TG (triglycerides), but this effect is observed only after 8 weeks of using this substance. Since Lipiforma is a dietary supplement, the agent has no therapeutic effect and can only support the treatment. The manufacturer of the supplement states that Lipiforma contains red yeast extract from rice standardized for 4% monocoline K content, whose mechanism of action (similar to the mechanism of action of statins) consists in inhibiting the HMG-CoA enzyme, which allows to reduce the concentration of total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in the blood.
