Hello, because of migraines, I temporarily use sumamigren, which constricts the vessels (I think). The neurologist prescribed me an acard and vinpoven forte, which dilates the vessels. Do these drugs not conflict: one shrinks the other expands?

According to current medical literature, there should be no adverse interactions between these preparations that are harmful to health or the effects of drugs. The mechanism of action of Sumammigren and Vinpoven is different and these drugs do not exclude simultaneous use in therapy. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, Sumamigren selectively narrows blood vessels within the arterial cervical blood supply without affecting cerebral flow. It also inhibits the activity of the trigeminal nerve. Vinpoven forte, on the other hand, has a beneficial effect on cerebral metabolism and blood flow in the brain.
