Is it possible to use Depakine Chrono and Neosen Forte at the same time?

Hello. I take Depakine Chrono 500mg in the morning and 500mg in the evening. Lately I've been having trouble falling asleep. I bought in the pharmacy NeoSen Forte and I read that you should not combine these two drugs. Is this really the case?

Neosen Forte has a registration of a dietary supplement, not a drug. Manufacturers of dietary supplements are not obliged to conduct research on possible interactions of their products with medicines. However, when analyzing the components of the said dietary supplement, I did not find literature information about possible interactions between any of the components contained in it in valproic acid, which is the active substance of the medicinal product Depakine Chrono 500. Therefore, there are no contraindications to the use of Neosen Forte during treatment with Depakine Chrono 500. However, please remember that dietary supplements are designed to supplement nutrient deficiencies in the diet, not to cure the disease, therefore, if sleep problems persist, I encourage you to report the problem to the attending physician. You can read more about drug interactions in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-przyjmowanie-kilku-lekow-jednoczesnie-jest-bezpieczne
